letter · new years resolution

blank space

X,

I begin to feel the curvature of your absence. Rounded corners from pieces long missing — tumbled away with your parting, corroded by secrets and lies, worn smooth by grief. Only the truth is left now: hollow, meaningless. Perhaps more meaningless than even these words are, because you will not hear it — may never believe it.

Yours,
